SHE Pre-Qual is a Tōtika member scheme. Qualified health and safety assessors review your evidence online through RapidCert. Sole Trader $280 and Category 1 $450 per 2 years; Category 2 $949 and Category 3 $1,459 a year, all + GST.
Tōtika is a health and safety prequalification scheme developed for New Zealand construction and contractor procurement. It is intended to reduce repeated prequalification effort by giving contractors and buyers a common standard. Read the what is Tōtika guide for a plain-English introduction.
SHE Pre-Qual is one of the Tōtika member schemes listed on the official Tōtika website, so a SHE Pre-Qual Tōtika assessment follows the Tōtika category model and assessment standards. See the official Tōtika member schemes page for the current list.
SHE Pre-Qual provides contractor prequalification evaluation services measured against ISO 45001 and best practice standards, with support for contractors who are unsure about the right assessment path.
SHE Pre-Qual Tōtika applications are reviewed by qualified health and safety assessors against the relevant assessment requirements. Once your assessment is approved, you receive a Tōtika certificate and a full report.
Contractors can contact SHE Pre-Qual before registering if they are unsure of their Tōtika category. Phone and email support is available during the registration and assessment process.
SHE Pre-Qual also offers generic contractor prequalification. If your client requires Tōtika, select the SHE Pre-Qual Tōtika assessment path so your application is aligned to Tōtika requirements.
SHE Pre-Qual may request clarification or further information during the assessment process so the application can be reviewed against the right pathway.

Pricing is GST exclusive. Your category determines the assessment fee and renewal period.

Your category depends on business size, the type of work you do and the value of contracts you tender for. Use the category guide before registering, and contact support if you are not sure.
If your buyer, tender or council requirement asks for Tōtika, choose the Tōtika assessment path. A generic contractor prequalification assessment is not the same as a Tōtika assessment.

Yes, Tōtika recognises some current external certifications and assessments, including ISO 45001, SafePlus and Q-Safe, depending on your supplier category and the evidence you can provide.
When SHE Pre-Qual approves your Tōtika assessment, you can view and download your certificate and full report in RapidCert. Read about your Tōtika certificate to see what it shows, how long it lasts and how to show buyers. If you cannot find it, contact SHE Pre-Qual.
Sole Trader and Category 1 Tōtika prequalification assessments are valid for 2 years. Category 2 and Category 3 assessments are valid for 1 year. External certifications or assessments may follow their own expiry dates.
